History
Science Education program has intaken student in the 2003-2004 academic year

Candidates must have high school or equivalent degree and must have enough points at University Student Selection Exam. If any foreign language and special skills related to the entry requirements should be specified
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
The process of recognition of prior learning is at an early stage in Turkish higher education institutions. Therefore, the recognition of prior learning is not fully initialized.in all programs of the University of Bayburt. However, the exemption exam is held at the beginning of each academic semester for the computer programs and English courses replaced at training plans. students Considering to achieve the expected learning outcomes in these courses, have the right of entry to the exam. Those who pass the exam are exempt from the course.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
To successfully complete The courses being all available in the program it is essential to obtain at least 2.0 GPA of 4.00 (for a total of 240 ECTS).

The main purpose of Science Education Department is to have positive attitude towards the profession and to have the qualifications required by the profession, to form a norm for the students to personal and professional life, to follow the developments in the field closely, to improve the knowledge and skills, to use the time efficiently, and to have effective communication skills.

Facilities
The academic staff of the Department of Science Teaching, which is affiliated to the Department of Mathematics and Science Education, consists of 1 professor, 3 associate professors, 1 assistant professor. In addition, the practices of field courses such as physics, chemistry, biology and science education are carried out in the Science Laboratory equipped. In addition, teaching practice and school experience courses are conducted in elementary schools under the guidance of the faculty members in primary schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. Within the scope of the Service Applications Course to the Community, cooperation with different public institutions is provided to participate in social services.

7Become a teacher who is faithful to Atatürks principles and revolutions, trusting in democracy, conscious about Turkish national, moral, ethical and cultural values and being sensitive to these aspects in his/her profession.
8Knows scientific research methods and applies them in classroom activities.
9Designs and implements laboratory experiments and activities in the field of science teaching.
10Can solve basic mathematical problems, knows measurement and evaluation methods and makes statistical evaluations.
11It is aware of the needs of the society and produces projects to solve social problems.
12Have the knowledge and skills to design learning environments for students in need of special education.
