Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to provide Science Teaching Undergraduate Program students with general information about special education and the purposes of special education. Moreover, after completing this course, undergraduate students; It is aimed to obtain information about students who need special education and their general characteristics, to know the reasons for students' needs and deficiencies, to evaluate them and to create an infrastructure for the process of getting to know these students. It is also aimed to provide information about the educational services to be provided to students in need of special education.

1 Will be able to describe the basic concepts of special education and related to general procedure of special education.
2Will be able to describe the roles and responsibilities for special education personnel. Will be able to debate the laws and regulations about special education.

Basic concepts for special education -Historical process of special education and the principles of special education -Legal regulations regarding special education -Individualized instruction -Diagnosis and evaluation in special education -Inclusive education -Support special education services -Family participation in education and cooperation with the family -Characteristics of different disability groups -Characteristics of different skill groups -Education-training approaches, strategies, methods and techniques for different groups -Effective methods that can be used in classroom management -Behavior management.
