Definition and subject of geology. General information about the earth: shape and dimensions of the earth, movements of the earth, geospheres of the earth, internal temperature, age of the earth. Substances that make up the earth's crust: Minerals, definition and properties. Important rock-forming minerals: Rocks, definition and general information, Tectronic movements: Orogenic movements, eirogenic movements, faults, volcanism, earthquakes.
