Students have achieved all courses in the program. In this program, the student has to obtain minimum 240 ECTS credits and the GPA must be at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

Profile of The Programme |
The aim of the Sociology Department is to educate sociologists who are equipped with knowledge, skills and attitudes in a sociological sense.
With the undergraduate program to be applied, it is aimed to provide students with the logic of sociological analysis and to gain cultural and professional competence for academic or free working environment. In this context, students who graduate from the program may have the following advantages.
- Acquire the necessary skills in social and contemporary issues by gaining academic and professional skills in the field of sociology.
- The student will gain the ability to interpret, analyze and produce solutions by formulating the decision, application and behavior of the knowledge.

Students who successfully complete the program and graduate, can do academic studies if they wish, or, if they wish, as sociologists, they can work in various public and private sector research companies.
Universities, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Family and Social Policies, research companies, media companies, public relations firms, and prison, hospital management, DPT (State Planning Organization), Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, TSI (Turkey Statistical Institute), trade and industry organizations, local governments, foundations, NGOs and organizations working on a voluntary basis are some of the institutions where sociologists can work.
Those who want to do academic studies can apply to a graduate program in the field of sociology or apply to other branches of science. Graduates can also improve their job opportunities by following various certificate programs. |

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
A wide variety of assessment methods are applied in the program such as quiz (s), midterm (s), homework (s), exercise (s), project (s), application (s) and final exam. Assessment methods may include conventional test (s), multiple-choice test (s), homework (s), performance assessments, and product assessments. In order to graduate from the program, the minimum GPA should be 2.00.

Graduation Requirements |
The students of the Sociology Department will be subject to the Bayburt University Undergraduate Education-Training and Exam Regulations and Practice Principles. According to this, students who have successfully completed all the requirements of the curriculum such as course and practice according to the provisions of the related regulations are entitled to receive a diploma. In order to graduate from the Department of Sociology, a total of 151 credits and240ECTS must be completed.

The Sociology undergraduate program has planned corporate compliance and stability in this field by continuously monitoring and taking into account academic and technological developments, and keeping itself open to updates that would be suitable for new possible developments. In the undergraduate curriculum, current sociological and scientific issues and problems are considered. Many disciplines such as Social Psychology, Psychology, Anthropology, History are included in the curriculum. Thus, it has become possible to follow developments in other fields related to sociology department.
