Objectives of the Course
The true purpose of this course is to acquaint the student with the research methods in social sciences and statistical analysis in generel. In this direction, the student will be thought to see how should a proper, consistent and empirical study in the field of political science looks like.

Course Contents
Qualitative research method concepts, characteristics, history, areas of use, comparison with quantitative methods, steps are given, examples of published research using the method are discussed and a research draft is prepared that can apply qualitative research method. The characteristics of qualitative research, the history of qualitative thought, qualitative research techniques are examined in the light of contemporary social theories.
