Objectives of the Course |
The study of multicultural structures, especially the cultural characteristics of the altered population in the industrialized Western countries and the cultural change in this natural environment will be discussed. This course aims to analyze the origin, construction and social, cultural and political meanings of the concept of identity from a sociological perspective. |

Course Contents |
Discussing the traditional and contemporary meanings of the concept of identity and discussing the relationship between the concept of identity and various concepts of culture will determine the basic course of the course. Identity struggles, identity politics and new social movements based on identity will be examined. |
