Objectives of the Course
To have knowledge about contemporary sociological theories and opinions of the representatives of theories. During the course of the course, the students will be able to understand the basic concepts of basic theories and theorists.

Course Contents
Introducing the contemporary sociological theories developed after the 1930s, according to their historical development and through their main representatives. This course focuses on approaches such as structuralism, functionalism, structural-functionalism, conflict theory, looking at society at macro level.
