At its meeting dated July 14, 2015, the Higher Education Executive Board of our university decided to establish the Faculty of Health Sciences in accordance with the additional article 30 of Law No. 2809, amended by Law No. 4633. In this context, the Nursing department within the Faculty of Health Sciences was activated in the 2022-2023 academic year. |

Specific Admission Requirements |
In admitting students to the nursing department, the candidates' Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) Numerical Information score type is taken into consideration. In this department, where the teaching language is Turkish, student recruitment is carried out according to the criteria determined in the YKS Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide. One feature that stands out among these criteria is that students must wear the uniform required by the profession during practical courses. |
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
Horizontal and vertical transfer students have the right to be exempted by the decision of the Board of Directors for associate and undergraduate level courses they have successfully completed previously. |

The student must successfully complete 240 ECTS credits during the four-year education and have a GPA of at least 2.00. |

Candidates who have completed their undergraduate education must get a valid grade from the ALES exam and also have sufficient knowledge of the English language in order to be accepted to postgraduate (master's and doctoral) programs. |
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
The measurement and evaluation methods used in the courses are determined in accordance with the Bayburt University Associate and Undergraduate Education Regulation Principles. Students are subjected to midterm, final and, if necessary, make-up exams. |
Graduation Requirements |
The requirements that students must meet for graduation include completing all courses and common courses in the curriculum, successfully passing the courses taken and obtaining a total of 240 ECTS credits. |
