Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to enable the student to know people, human behaviors and herself/himself, to gain communication skills, to develop assertiveness skills and to use them in her relations with patient/healthy individuals and in her/his own life.

1Gains the knowledge of the concepts that form the basis of interpersonal relationships.
2Becomes aware of the emotional needs and behavioral reactions of the individuals with whom he/she has a relationship by knowing himself/herself.
3Understands the importance of techniques that facilitate and prevent communication.
4Understands the importance of coping methods.
5Understands the concept of team as a group.
6He/she uses what he/she learned in the interpersonal relations course in his/her own life.

Introduction to interpersonal relations, Types of people according to communication style, Concepts that form the basis of interpersonal relations: The concept of personality, Self-concept, Techniques that facilitate and prevent communication, Conflict and Conflict Resolution, Basic concepts affecting interpersonal relations: The Concept of Anxiety and Stress, Sensory Deprivation and Body Concept of Image, Concept of Crisis and Anger, Concept of Loneliness and Hopelessness, Concept of Pain and Death, Concept of Empathy and Assertiveness, Communication in Nursing. Patient-Nurse Relationship and Communication with Patient Relatives, Group Communication.
