Objectives of the Course
This course aims to provide knowledge and skills to investigate the relationships between health, disease and environment of individuals in the society and to plan practices that protect and enhance the health of the society.

1The student understands the definition of epidemiology, its scope, areas of duty, and the distribution of tasks in an epidemiological study.
2Explains the distribution of diseases and health conditions in the society by using the relationship between agent, environment and host.
3While giving care to the individual, she realizes the health development of the society with an epidemiological approach.
4Understands the importance of keeping records and observations made in the clinic and in the field in the conduct of epidemiological studies.
5Understands the relationship between epidemiological studies and statistics.
