Objectives of the Course
This lesson aims to establish a relationship between health and socio-cultural structure and to explain and make students understand that health has a social dimension that is at least as important as its medical dimension.

Learning Outcomes
1Establishes a causal relationship between health-disease and society.
2Comprehends the socio-cultural dimension of health and disease.
3Income, social class, gender, marital status, religion, education, etc. evaluate the social factors affecting health and disease.
4It analyzes the patient/hospital/doctor/nurse relations and contributes to the development of the health personnel-patient relationship.
5It gives the ability to think about the organization of health services and the problems related to the delivery of health services in different countries and to increase efficiency.
6Understands the role and importance of health workers in the protection of health and the treatment of diseases.
7Examines the social consequences of health policies of the European Union and Turkey.
