1Students will be able to take part in simple everyday conversations
2Students will be able to talk about everyday topics using simple structures and vocabulary
3Students will be able to understand the gist of short, simple foreign language texts.
4They will be able to understand authentic texts (e.g. forms, instructions, brochures, information leaflets).
5They will be able to write and answer postcards and simple personal letters with the help of a dictionary.
