Objectives of the Course
The aim of this lesson; The aim is to provide the nursing student with basic knowledge about infectious microorganisms and the diseases they cause, which will help them to practice their profession.

1Gains knowledge about the structures, classifications and general characteristics of microorganisms.
2Learns the production, metabolism, genetics of microorganisms and the effect of antimicrobial substances on microorganisms.
3Understand the concepts of "sterilization and disinfection", the effect of external environment on microorganisms.
4Gains knowledge about important infectious diseases caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses and parasites.
5Learns the role of vaccines and serums in protection against communicable diseases and communicable diseases.
6Be aware of the occupational risks that can be seen in healthcare professionals and patient and employee safety in nursing.
