The department was established by Faculty of Health Science at Bayburt University which was founded according to the meeting of Higher Education Executive Council at 14/07/2015 and with the legislation number 4633. The legislation number 2809 was changed to legislation number 4633 with the addition of clause number 30. The Department has started to education the academic year of 2017-2018. |

Specific Admission Requirements |
Students who has necessary score (SAY science based) from the National University Attendance Exam are accepted to the Nutrition and Dietetics Bachelor's program and the provision rules were determined by Higher Education Council. |
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
Students who attend the program by the vertical, undergraduate and intra-university transfers are exempt from the modules that taken and achieved before. This process is actualized by the board decision |

The Nutrition and Dietetics programme consists of the theoretical and the practical modules. The students need to complete the modules successfully throughout the 4-year education (totally 240 ECTS; 243 ECTS for main cirriculum) and the general grade point average should be no less than 2.00 out of 4.00. |
Profile of The Programme |
Duration time of programme is 4 years and the language of education is Turkish. The programme includes the obligatory and optional modules that are theoretical and the practical. These modules are related to the nutrition and dietetics. The nutritional Internship in Community Health should be done in summer at the end of third year. The students observe the mechanism of the profession and this internship also enable them to practice of theoretical knowledge. At final year, thanks to preparing the graduation seminar and dissertation, the students graduate from the course and they deserve to have dietitian degree. |

Alumni can be operated and / or can be employed as clinical dietitian or administrator dietitian, manager or public health nutritionist of various public institutions, food industry, individual diet counselling and training centres or academician. |
Access to Further Studies |
Students who graduates of Nutrition and Dietetic Department are accepted to postgraduate programs including Nutrition and Dietetic, Public Health and Sports Science according to their Academic Graduate Program Exam (ALES) and English Level Exam (TOEFL, YDS, UDS, etc.) score. |
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
Examination regulations, assessment and evaluation issues are related in the documentation which is named as "Regulation about the Associate and Bachelor Degree Education in Bayburt University". Students are subjected to midterm exams, final and resit exams if it is needed. |

Facilities |
In the department,there are 11 academics and 1 of them is professors, 4 of them are assistant professors and 1 of them prelector while 5 of them are research assistants. The program is carried out by having lecture rooms with all needing equipment, laboratories (Nutrition Principles and Anthropometry Lab.) and computer rooms. |
