School of Physical Education and Sports According to additional article 30 of the Law No. 2809 dated 28/03/1983. It was established by the Council of Ministers on 06/06/2013. It started its education life in 2013 in the central campus of Bayburt University. Department of Sports Management in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of the Law No. 2547 amended by Law No. 2880 at the Board meeting of the Council of Higher Education dated 25/12/2016. The Department of Coaching Education and the Department of Recreation and the Department of Physical Education and Sports Education were opened at the Board meeting of the Council of Higher Education dated 19.07.20|7, in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of the Law No. 2547 amended by Law No. 2880. |

Qualification Requirements and Regulations |
Physical Education and Sports Teaching program takes students with special talent examination. Students who graduate from a high school or equivalent school can apply after the YKS results are determined under the conditions specified in the Examination Guide Examination dates are determined by the university. Placement exams are done according to the characteristics of the programs of the four departments within the Faculty. The guides containing detailed information about the examinations are prepared by the Faculty and given to the applicants during the application.In order to successfully complete all the courses in the program (equivalent to 240 ECTS) and to have a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00, graduation requirements are required.

Profile of The Programme |
The Department of Physical Education and Sports Education conducts a curriculum in the field of sports science, and conducts a training plan to train students as good teachers. The curriculum of the department includes compulsory and elective courses related to the teaching profession and general culture. In order to gain professional experience before graduation, students are required to complete two semesters of internship programs in schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education.

Facilities |
Total number of faculty members of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Education is 12. The department has the facilities such as Anatomy and First Aid Laboratory, Computer Laboratory, Healthy Living Center and educational classrooms which are used in educational programs and scientific studies. In addition, indoor swimming pool in the campus, football fields, tennis courts, Olympic athletics field and indoor athletics and artistic gyms are used to carry out the school's educational programs. |
