Objectives of the Course |
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the fields of sport and exercise physiology. Our goal is to build upon the foundation of knowledge that it constructed through basic course work in human anatomy and physiology by applying the principles we have learned to how the body performs and responds to physical activity. |

Sport Physiology; Physiology of Muscle: Classification of muscles, Functions of Muscles, Contraction, Fast-Twitch and Slow-Twitch Muscles, Control of Muscle Movements; Exercise and Energy Systems: Effects of Exercise: Cardiovascular System, Respiratory System, Endocrine System; Outdoor Sports: Diving, Climbing, Exercise in Cold and Hot Temperatures; Fitness Exercises; Nutrition and Sport; Sports and Hygiene. |
