Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to provide learning opportunities for teacher candidates to develop awareness, skills and understanding of the types of curriculum (official/formal, implemented, neglected, extra and hidden curriculum, etc.), to analyze the reflections of hidden curriculum on teaching-learning process in terms of different factors (e.g. cognitive and emotional domain learning, teacher identity, school climate, social, cultural, sportive and artistic activities etc.) and to design the learning and teaching process by considering the hidden curriculum.

Basic concepts of curriculum, co-curricular, extra-curricular and non-curricular activities in education, the types of curriculum (official/formal, implemented, neglected, extra and hidden curriculum, etc.), approaches of hidden curriculum, cognitive and affective domains of learning and hidden curriculum, school as a ritual place, school ceremonies as non-curriculum activities at school; the importance and management of social, cultural, sportive and artistic activities in school, the importance of hidden curriculum in values education; non-curricular activities (commemoration, celebration, meeting, graduation etc.) in terms of values education
