According to the additional article 30 of the Law No. 2809 dated 28/03/1983, the Higher Education Executive Board dated 19/12/2017 within the body of Bayburt University School of Applied Sciences, which was established by the Council of Ministers with the decree dated 16/02/2016 and numbered 2016/8555. Emergency Aid and Disaster Management Department, which was established in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of Law No. 2547, amended by Law No. 2880, was established within the Faculty of Applied Sciences, which was established by closing the School of Applied Sciences with the decree of the Council of Ministers dated 04/06/2018 and numbered 2018/11959. It started to provide education in the 2018-2019 academic year. |

In order to be accepted to this program, it is necessary to be successful in the exams held by OSYM. The program accepts students with the SAY (numerical) score type. |
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
Students who come to the program with horizontal and vertical transfers can be exempted by the decision of the Board of Directors for the associate and undergraduate courses they have taken and succeeded before. |

In order for students to graduate, they must have successfully completed the entire four (4) year Emergency Aid and Disaster Management Department Course Curriculum (240 ECTS) with a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00. |
Profile of The Programme |
The education period of the program is four (4) years and the language of instruction is Turkish. The program includes compulsory and elective courses, both theoretical and practical, in the field of Emergency Aid and Disaster Management. In addition, the program includes summer internships for a total of 40 working days in the summer periods following the second and third grades. Students who complete their courses and internships graduate with the title of Emergency Aid and Disaster Manager. |
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples |
Graduates; They have the qualifications to work within the departments established under the umbrella of the "Emergency and Disaster Management Presidency" established with the Law No. 5902 published on June 17, 2009, and the Provincial Directorates of Disaster and Emergency to be established in the provinces. They can also work in civil defense units of public institutions and organizations.They have the opportunity to continue their careers as academic staff in the emergency services of state and private hospitals, 112 emergency service stations and command centers, the Ministry of National Education and different universities. |

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
The assessment and evaluation applied for each course is determined by Bayburt University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education Regulations, and students are subjected to midterm, final and, if necessary, make-up exams. |
Graduation Requirements |
Students who have successfully completed all the courses and internships stipulated in the program and have obtained a total of at least 240 ECTS credits and have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 are entitled to receive a diploma. |
