The Department of Recreation, which started education in 2021, has 6 academic staff. 60 students are accepted to the recreation department with special talent exams held every year and education is given for 4 years.

Specific Admission Requirements |
In order to apply to the Recreation Department, it is necessary to pass the exam conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center and to attend the Pamukkale University Faculty of Sports Sciences Special Talent and Sports CV Exam. Students who can take part in the determined quota are entitled to study in the Recreation Department.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
For students who want to transfer from higher education institutions in Turkey to Pamukkale University, the provisions of the "Regulation on the Principles of Transfer between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer" are applied. The common compulsory foreign language courses exemption exam is held at the beginning of the fall semester on the date specified in the academic calendar. No make-up exam is allowed for this exam. Students of faculties/vocational schools/schools who do not have a preparatory program take the joint compulsory foreign language exemption exam. Students who will take the exemption exam apply to the relevant unit within the period specified in the academic calendar.

Profile of The Programme |
Our aim is to train individuals who are experts in leisure and recreation planning, organization, training and management in the developing recreation field in our country, or on the other hand, who can lead therapeutic recreation. In order to achieve this aim, it is planned to benefit from the basic and advanced theory of many branches of science such as management, leadership, planning, sociology, behavior and education, and the curriculum for students to gain technical and practical skills specific to the fields of leisure and recreation sciences. Within the scope of this program, education and training materials that will be prepared to produce first-class recreation scientists who are educationally, professionally and ethically sound and academically equipped are utilized.

Graduation Requirements |
Students must pass all compulsory and elective courses in the curriculum with successful grades, including compulsory practical and summer education, and are entitled to graduate if they meet the minimum GPA requirement specified in Pamukkale University undergraduate education and training regulations.
