General Description
History
Bayburt University Vocational School Private Security and Protection Associate Degree Program started education in the 2019-2020 academic year.
Qualification Awarded
Upon successful completion of the program, our students receive an Associate Degree in Private Security and Protection.

Students who want to enroll in the department must complete the processes determined by OSYM / have passed the exams. Special Conditions: OSYM Table 3B, 87. In order to enroll in this program, a committee report must be obtained from a fully-fledged official hospital recommended by the university, certifying that there is no physical or mental disability that would prevent him from carrying out this profession during and after the education. Students enrolled in the program; Physical Education, Close Defense Techniques etc. They will provide the compulsory sports clothes to be worn in the classes themselves.

Profile of The Programme
Property Protection and Security Department, Private Security Program has started accepting students in the 2019-2020 academic year. The total number of quotas for the program is 40. Students who want to enroll in the program must be successful in the exams organized by OSYM and meet the necessary special conditions. The education period of the program is 4 semesters. Students who successfully complete the program are entitled to receive an associate degree diploma and also a work certificate (Private Security Officer Identity) to be given by the Governorships related to their field. If they are 21 years old, they will be able to get an armed certificate with the common lessons we will teach with safety.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Students graduating from the department; In private security units established within the body of public institutions and organizations, as armed protection of individuals, in private security companies; They can work in security service areas (public institutions and organizations, shopping malls, banks, stations, airports, terminals, transportation systems such as trams, events such as meetings, concerts, sports events, stage shows, and factories) to be provided by these companies.
Access to Further Studies
Graduated students can continue their undergraduate education in the field of Social Services and Emergency Aid and Disaster Management if they take the vertical transfer exam. In addition, if they wish, they can enroll in the economics and business departments of open education faculties by passing without examination.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Exams in this program; It is administered as midterm, final and make-up exams. In addition, homework, projects, presentations and seminars can be applied to the students by the instructor and can be included in the midterm exam grades. Midterm exams affect 40% final and make-up grades 60% overall grade point average.
Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from the program, it is essential to take the courses in the program content, to be successful in the courses taken and to complete the weighted grade point average with a 2.00 grade point average in accordance with the relevant articles of the Bayburt University associate degree and undergraduate examination regulations. In addition, students are required to do an internship for 30 working days.
