General Description
History
In the report of the Ministry of National Education of Bayburt University, it was elected to the 30th article according to the calendar numbered 28/03/1983 and numbered 2809, to the 30th article/additional article by the Council of Ministers, and to the decree no.16/2016 dated and numbered/ by the Council of Ministers. In our school, the variant of the law numbered 2547 with the law numbered 2880 has been numbered by the Supreme Council in the 3rd content of the law numbered 7/d-2. Subsequently, a PhD - Doctorate program was established in the spring term of 2020-2021 and the first school enrollment was taken from this program.
Qualification Awarded
Those who have taken at least 21 credits (60 ECTS) from the courses available in the graduate programs of the department or other related departments and have successfully completed all of them, have achieved a weighted grade point average of at least 2.50 out of 4.00, have been successful in the seminar presentation and passed the proficiency exam, Students who have a thesis that is considered successful by a jury selected as a result of its defense and prepared in a field are given a doctoral degree in ORGANIC AGRICULTURAL MANAGEMENT and the title of "Doctor" in its field.

Graduated from Department of Aquaculture, Department of Horticulture, Department of Environmental Sciences and Technologies, Department of Agricultural Economics, Department of Agricultural Biotechnology, Department of Field Crops, Department of Animal Science, Department of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation, Department of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies, Department of Agriculture and Natural Sciences, Department of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Organic Agricultural Management, Department of Chemistry, Department of Biology, Department of Business Administration, Department of Economics, Department of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, Department of Food Engineering, Environmental Engineering Department, Industrial Engineering Department, Food Technology Department, Botany Department, Zoology Department with thesis.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
To have obtained the required score from the postgraduate diploma, postgraduate entrance exam (ALES) and appropriate language exams from the fields specified in the admission and registration conditions.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
The conditions that students must meet in order to obtain the title of doctor in the field of Organic Agricultural Management; a) To take 21 credits (corresponding to 60 ECTS) courses and pass at least a CC degree, b) To have a weighted average of at least 3.0 out of 4.0, c) To achieve seminar success, d) To be successful in the doctoral qualification exam, c) To be successful by preparing a thesis and presenting it before the jury.
Profile of The Programme
To train researchers and practitioners who can carry out original and independent studies in an academic environment in the Organic Agricultural Management doctorate program and make important scientific contributions to the field with their research, To help faculty members share their knowledge and experience with new researchers in the field they work in, so that doctoral students gain the ability to conduct qualified scientific research, and to enable PhD students to develop projects on subjects directly related to the field of Organic Agricultural Management, thanks to the research education they receive.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Those who complete this program work in agricultural enterprises, state-owned laboratories, enterprises in the relevant sector, and fields such as land. They can find employment opportunities as specialists in greenhouses, businesses, land and vineyards, orchards of private entrepreneurs and in organizations belonging to municipalities. In addition, they can do these jobs with their knowledge and skills, regardless of being tied. They can continue their academic careers with a doctorate program, and if they fulfill the conditions, they can apply to academic staffs to be opened by universities. For example, our student named Mustafa Bora Meşeli, who has completed the Organic Agricultural Management Master's program at our university and has started the PhD program in the same department, works as a Research Assistant in our faculty, provided that he meets the other conditions determined by the university.
Access to Further Studies
Students who are entitled to graduate can apply for the title of Associate Professor if they fulfill the other requirements.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
In order for students to be successful in a course, the semester average of that course must be at least 70. In converting the grade given out of 100 points to a letter grade; weights of midterm, midterm studies and final exam are taken into account. For each course, at least one midterm exam is given each semester. 40% in case of a midterm exam, 40% in case of more than one midterm exam and semester studies, the contribution of the total percentage of these exams and semester studies to the letter grade is determined by the lecturer of the course. The contribution of the final exam to the letter grade is 60%. When determining the success grade of the student who took the make-up exam, the make-up exam grade is used instead of the final exam grade. At the end of the semester exams, since the semester grade point average is 2.50 and above, (CC) letter grade courses are considered successful, students who drop their semester grade point average below 2.50 after the following make-up exam fall into the position of unsuccessful in the courses with a letter grade (DC) they are considered successful.
Graduation Requirements
Students who successfully complete the compulsory and elective courses in the curriculum of our program, make the compulsory seminar presentation, pass the doctoral proficiency exam and successfully defend the thesis they have prepared, and meet the conditions specified in the Bayburt University graduate education regulation, are entitled to receive the title of doctor.
