Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to teach students the herbal products obtained from medicinal and aromatic plants, the methods of obtaining herbal products (distillation, extraction and mechanical extraction) and the preparation processes and sampling methods necessary for quality analysis in medicinal and aromatic plants.

1Learns the definition and usage areas of medicinal and aromatic plants.
2Learns distillation and extraction methods.
3Recognizes and learns herbal urea obtained by distillation and extraction method.
4Learns the sampling method in quality analysis, recognition tests, general tests, special tests.
5Gains new information about medicinal and aromatic plants, develops methods and technologies, and conducts basic and applied research.
6Determines and uses appropriate methods by making use of current information technologies in the analysis of problems encountered in the field of medicinal plants.
