The purpose of this course is to introduce students to environmental stress factors and to provide a comprehensive of knowledge on stress physiology and the effects of the factors on plants

1At the completion of the course, the students should be able to: Understand the principles of basic plant structure, growth and development
2Understand the processes affecting growth of plants
3identify and define environmental factors that regulate growth and development of plants

5Explain how plants respond to environmental stresses, Understand and evaluate the constraints on crop production
