Profile of The Programme |
The Department of Finance has the qualifications to compete at national and international level in the fields of economy, business and law, especially finance; It aims to produce graduates who question, research, think analytically, and have strong interpretation and synthesis skills. For this purpose, the lesson plan includes basic lessons specific to the science of finance such as the theory of finance, public economics, budget, fiscal policy, and tax law. In addition, there are some lessons from other departments of our faculty in the lesson plan. In order for students to take courses that are suitable for their interests, 25% of the courses in the lesson plan consist of elective courses. |

Graduates of the Department of Finance have a wide range of employment opportunities at senior management levels in the public and private sectors. Our graduates are in the public sector; Tax Inspector, Revenue Specialist, State Budget Specialist, Auditor of the Court of Accounts, auditor in the inspection and audit boards of ministries, administrative judiciary judge can enter many careers. In the private sector, they can find the opportunity to work in many fields such as financial consultancy, customs consultancy, banks, insurance companies, audit firms and management. |
Access to Further Studies |
Our graduates, who have successfully completed their undergraduate education, can pursue graduate and doctorate education in national and international higher education institutions, provided that they get a valid grade from the ALES exam and have sufficient foreign language knowledge. |
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
Each student must register for the courses at the beginning of the semester and attend at least 70% of the courses in order to take the final exam. Students are subjected to at least one midterm and final exam for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam (the scores obtained from measurement tools such as homework, quizzes, etc. as a midterm exam can also be evaluated) to the success grade is 40%, and the contribution of the final exam is 60%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. Students who get AA, BA, BB, CB and CC letter grades from a course are deemed to have succeeded in that course. |

In order to successfully complete the program, it is necessary to pass all the courses available in the program (240 ECTS equivalent) and to obtain a weighted grade point average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00. |

Our department provides education in Turkish. There is a reading room and a computer lab open to students. Within the framework of Erasmus and Farabi programs, students can go to contracted universities for a maximum of two semesters. |
