General Description
History
It has started accepting students in the 2019-2020 academic year.
Qualification Awarded
Having taken at least 24 credits (equivalent to 60 ECTS) courses from the graduate programs of the department or other related departments and successfully completing all of them, obtaining a weighted grade point average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00, and successfully prepared by a jury selected and prepared in a field related to the subject. Students who successfully defend a thesis are awarded a master's degree in ECONOMICS.

Specific Admission Requirements
Applications to master's programs with or without a thesis and evaluation of applications are organized and carried out by the relevant department or institute directorate. In order for the student to apply to a master's program with a thesis in any department/article; must have a bachelor's degree and an ALES score of not less than 55 points, which will be determined by the Senate in the type of score they are applying for. In addition to ALES score, undergraduate grade point average, written scientific evaluation, and/or interview results can also be evaluated. Issues related to this evaluation and other documents and information that candidates must provide for the application, international standard exams, the weight ratio at which the ALES score is not less than 50%, the lower limit of the graduate entrance success grade, the weight of the scientific evaluation and/or interview result. rate; It is determined by the recommendation of the relevant department board and the approval of the institute board.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
This program consists of at least eight courses, a seminar course, and thesis work, provided that the total is not less than 120 ECTS. The student can register for the thesis study together with the seminar course in the same semester. After the completion of the seminar work and the approval of the advisor, the presentation is made by the student in accordance with the procedures and principles to be determined by the relevant institute board and it is evaluated as G (Pass) or F (Fail). The student can register for the thesis study following the semester that he/she successfully completes the courses that he/she should take, excluding the seminar. The determination of the courses to be taken by the student and the registration procedures are carried out by the thesis advisor. However, in cases where the thesis advisor is not appointed or not available, these procedures are carried out by the head of the relevant institute's department.
Profile of The Programme
In addition to the basic fields of economics (Micro/macroeconomics, mathematical economics) the master's program, includes education in international economics, econometrics, health economics, financial economics, growth economics, and economic policy, which students can specialize through elective courses.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Economics education gives a broad perspective in functioning the economy, details of the economical events and decision process. In this context, students have all kinds of job opportunities in public and private sector in the frame of the education. Our graduates may take part in Specializations within the various Ministries, Assistant Specializations, District Governorates, Inspectorates, and Inspectorates of the Ministry, Administrative Law Judges, and Supervision if they want to work in the public sector( on the condition that they go in for Public Personal Selection Exam). If they prefer private sector they may take part in Certified Financial Advisors, Independent Financial Advisors, Banking, Tourism, Advisory Bodies, Inspection and Insurance Companies, Foreign Trade Companies, Transport Companies. Also graduates can be employed in the Central Bank, Treasury, Foreign Trade Undersecretariat, State Planning Organization, Capital Markets Board, Chamber of Commerce in the promoted levels. .

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
The principles regarding the determination of course success are as follows: a) Exams are evaluated with points given out of 100. b) In formal graduate programs, the success grade is calculated by taking the sum of 30% of the midterm exam grade average and 70% of the final exam or make-up exam. c) The success grade in master's programs with and without thesis is at least 65 points out of 100 points. ç) The letter grade and quatrain system equivalents of the success grade obtained over 100 points are as follows: Letter Grade Coefficient Success Grade AA 4.00 90-100 BA 3.50 85-59 BB 3.00 80-84 CB 2.50 75-79 CC 2.00 65-74 FF 0.00 0-64
