Scientific research and stages of scientific research, method in scientific research, literature review, thesis writing, article writing, ethics and moral concepts.

1Basic Concepts: Definition and qualities of science, knowledge, features of science, purposes of science, scientific research, scientific method, basic qualities of the scientific method.
2Scientific Research and Stages of Scientific Research: Research Process and Planning - Relationship between science and research, scientific research and its importance, place and importance of technology in scientific research, characteristics of scientific research, subject of research, purpose of research, justification of research, limitations and assumptions of research, method, result , suggestions.
3Method in Scientific Research: Research model, population and sample, data, data types, data collection techniques and tools, data analysis.
4Literature Scanning: What is a literature review and how is it done, what does a literature review bring to us, literature scanning systems, libraries in literature scanning, scientific journals, periodicals and libraries, using the internet.
5Thesis Writing: Bayburt University Thesis Writing Guide, bibliography and citation methods.
6Thesis Review.
7Article Writing: How a good article should be, what to do before starting to write, preparation phase, structure and function of the article, title, abstract, introduction, points to be considered in the introduction, method, conclusion, sources.
8Midterm exam

10Publication of the Article and Evaluation in Refereed Journals.
11Survey, survey types, survey preparation.
12Evaluation of Surveys Prepared by Students.
13ISI, SCI and SCIE Impact Factor and Emergent Index Concepts.
14Project Writing: What is a Project, Types of Projects, How to Write?
15Ethics and Moral Concepts: Ethics, scientific ethical rules, forms of scientific deception.
16Final exam.
