Objectives of the Course
To give an understanding of why econometrics is necessary and to provide a basic knowledge of basic econometrics tools. Therefore, 1. Students can apply these tools for modelling, forecasting, inference and foresight in the context of real world economic problems. 2. Students can critically evaluate the findings and results of those who use basic econometric tools.

Learning Outcomes
1Explain and analyze simple and multiple linear regression models.
2Explain regression models with standardized variables and without constant term.
3Explain full logarithmic and semi-logarithmic models and models with dummy variables.
4Detects multicollinearity, variance and autocorrelation problems and defines solutions.
5Explain time series econometrics.

Course Contents
Simple and multiple linear regression models, regression models with standardized variables and without constant terms, logarithmic models and models with dummy variables, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity and autocorrelation, time series econometrics.
