General Description
History
The Anesthesia Program started to provide education and training within the Department of Medical Services and Techniques at Bayburt Health Services Vocational School in the 2020-2021 Academic Year.
Qualification Awarded
Those who successfully complete our program earn an Associate Degree in Anesthesia and the title of Anesthesiologist.

Specific Admission Requirements
To be a graduate of high school or its equivalent and to be successful and placed in the relevant department by ÖSYM.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
For the recognition of prior learning in higher education institutions, the provisions of the "Regulation on the Principles of Transferring Between Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Credit Transfer Between Institutions" are applied.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Anesthesia Program graduates are expected to be able to follow up patients before, during and after anesthesia and to implement necessary interventions, to be prone to teamwork, to be sensitive to patient rights, to be able to work in accordance with quality standards by following up-to-date practices. In order to successfully complete the program, it is necessary to pass all the courses available in the program (for 120 ECTS), to achieve a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and to successfully complete the summer internship (30 working days).
Profile of The Programme
The purpose of the Anesthesia Program; Importance of ethical values in the Anesthesiology and Reanimation units of healthcare institutions and organizations, which can prepare and use the devices and equipment used in anesthesia, monitor and keep records of vital functions during the applications, support the anesthesiologist during the anesthesia application and provide patient control after surgery health personnel who are equipped with modern knowledge and skills and who will fulfill their legal powers and responsibilities.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Our graduates; They can work in the Operating Room and Operating Room units of public and private hospitals affiliated to the Ministry of Health, in line with the physician's instructions.
Access to Further Studies
If our graduates are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) conducted by ÖSYM; They can make vertical transfers to Nursing, Health Services and Emergency Aid and Disaster Management Undergraduate Departments.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
The principles regarding the exams and grade assessment specified in the Bayburt University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education and Training Regulation are taken into consideration.
Graduation Requirements

Facilities
All classrooms where the lessons are conducted have a smart board, projector and internet connection. Courses that require a computer application are carried out in the Computer Laboratory, which includes 60 computers. Internet access via wired-wireless networks is unlimited in this laboratory. This laboratory, where students can get service using their own personal computers, is also open to students outside of class hours.

5To be able to prepare for the patient and material before general anesthesia. Making the necessary preparations after the patient is taken to the operating room
6To learn the drugs used in general and local anesthesia and their safe applications
7Being able to update the knowledge, skills and competencies related to the field with the awareness of lifelong learning and improve oneself personally and professionally
8Assisting the anesthesiologist in the administration of general anesthesia, during the maintenance of general anesthesia, termination of general anesthesia and after
9To be able to act in accordance with the basic professional legal regulations related to the field
10Learning the control, use and maintenance of the anesthesia device
11Learning the preparation and use of assistive devices used in anesthesia
12Administration of medication, fluid and blood to the patient. Application and aspiration of the nasogastric tube to the patient
13Assisting in regional anesthesia applications
14To be able to assist in anesthesia and sedation applications outside the operating room.
