General Description

| History | | Our faculty, with the proposal of the University Senate dated 28/07/2011 and numbered 2011/14, the approval of the General Assembly of Higher Education, the proposal letters of the Ministry of National Education and the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 25/06/2012 and numbered 2012/3363; It was established in accordance with the additional article 30 of Law No. 2809 and this decision came into force by being published in the Official Gazette No. 28374 dated 04 August 2012. | | Qualification Awarded | | Students in our faculty graduate from the undergraduate program with the title of Theologian | | Level of Qualification (Short Cycle , First Cycle , Second Cycle, Third Cycle) | | First Cycle | | Specific Admission Requirements | | Students gain the right to register according to the degree they receive from the verbal score and ranking of the university exam. | | Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) | | Recognition of previous formal learning in Turkish Higher Education institutions, vertical, horizontal and university transfers are carried out subject to the rules determined by the Council of Higher Education. In this context, the rules regarding the recognition of prior learning are implemented in line with the "Regulation on the Principles of Transfer Between Associate and Undergraduate Programs, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer in Higher Education Institutions". | | Qualification Requirements and Regulations | | Successfully passing all courses equivalent to 240 ECTS in the theology program and having a minimum GPA of 2.00 out of 4.00 are adopted as qualification conditions and rules. | | Profile of The Programme | | Faculty of Theology; It has a structure consisting of the departments of Basic Islamic Sciences, Philosophy and Religious Sciences and Islamic History and Arts. The knowledge and experience produced within this structure are transformed into national and international research. It addresses the differences in belief in society with an objective and holistic approach through formal and non-formal religious education. Our program has the mission of educating faithful, knowledgeable and professionally competent theologians who are committed to Ataturk's principles and reforms, their country and nation, who are useful to the problems of society and humanity, who can think systematically and critically, who develop a sense of empathy and who approach this way. | | Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples | | There are many employment areas for students who graduate from our faculty. The leading areas are the Ministry of National Education and the Presidency of Religious Affairs. Our students can work as Religious Culture and Ethics Teachers in Primary and Secondary Education Institutions affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, or as Vocational Course Teachers in Imam Hatip secondary and high school institutions. They are employed in the Presidency of Religious Affairs in areas such as Imam-Hatip, Muezzin-Kayyim, Mufti, Preacher and Quran Course Teacher, Instructor in In-Service Training Courses, Expert in the High Council of Religious Affairs, Religious Attaché abroad, Religious Counselor. In line with continuing/completing their postgraduate education, our students can work as Research Assistants, Lecturers or Lecturers in other faculties in the field of Social Sciences, especially in the Faculties of Theology. | | Access to Further Studies | | After graduating from our faculty, our students have the opportunity to pursue master's and doctorate degrees in all branches of science in our faculty through the Institute of Social Sciences. | | Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading | | | Graduation Requirements | | Successfully passing all courses equivalent to 240 ECTS and having a minimum GPA of 2.00 out of 4.00 is adopted as a graduation requirement.

Observes and explains the impact of the phenomenon of religion, human and social structure. It indicates the formation processes of Islamic History and Civilization.
