History
Bayburt University Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department started to provide undergraduate education in the 2018-2019 academic year.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
Recognition of previous formal learning in Turkish Higher Education institutions, vertical, horizontal and intra-university transfers are carried out within the scope of the "Regulation on the Principles of Transferring Between Associate Degree and Bachelor's Degree Programmes, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer in Higher Education Institutions" determined by the Council of Higher Education.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Students who successfully complete all of the courses available in the programme (equivalent to a total of 240 ECTS) and obtain a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00, and who receive a passing grade from the internship report prepared by the professional internship are awarded a bachelor's degree in the relevant field.
Profile of The Programme
The Electrical and Electronics Engineering programme is designed to include basic technical knowledge that will prepare students for the changes in the rapidly developing digital world. The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is one of the seven departments of Bayburt University Faculty of Engineering. Our department, which received its first students in the 2018-2019 academic year, continues its education with 3 doctoral faculty members and 1 research assistant. The normal education period of the undergraduate programme of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is 4 years. Our department has seven departments: Circuits and Systems, Electronics, Electrical Machines, Communication, Electrical Installations, Control and Command Systems, Electro Magnetic Fields and Microwave Techniques.

Graduate students can apply for postgraduate education in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and other different disciplines after their bachelor's degree.

1To have knowledge about the principles of mathematics, science, electrical and computer sciences used in engineering applications and to be able to apply modern tools of technology to formulate and solve complex daily life problems by using this knowledge and technical skills
