First and Emergency Aid Program started to provide education and training within the body of Bayburt Health Services Vocational School Medical Services and Techniques Department in 2015-2016 Academic Year. |
Qualification Awarded |
Those who successfully complete the program are entitled to receive the title of Ambulance and Emergency Care Technician (AABT) or Paramedic, along with an Associate Degree in Pre-Hospital Emergency Health Services. |

Specific Admission Requirements |
To be a graduate of high school or its equivalent and to be successful and placed in the relevant Program by ÖSYM. It is possible to pass from the Emergency Medical Technician and First and Emergency Aid Technician Departments of Health Vocational High Schools without examination. Students to be admitted to this program must receive a report from a full-fledged official hospital certifying that they have a body structure and mental health that does not prevent them from obtaining a driver's license; They should have sufficient body structure and strength in rescue and transportation works. |
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
For the recognition of prior learning in higher education institutions, the provisions of the "Regulation on the Principles of Transferring Between Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Credit Transfer Between Institutions" are applied. |
Qualification Requirements and Regulations |
First and Emergency Aid Program graduates, Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Terminology, Pharmacology and Rational Medicine Use, Emergency Patient Care, Emergency Health Services, Resuscitation, Trauma, Basic Health Practices, Professional Ethics, Quality and Accreditation in Health, Occupational Health and Safety, Summer Based on basic knowledge and practice by taking Internship and Professional Practice courses; It is expected to have the skills to use the equipment and medicines in the ambulance, to evaluate the patient, to diagnose the patient, to provide emergency care in accordance with the determined standards and protocols, and to perform the correct invasive and non-invasive procedures. In order to successfully complete the program, it is necessary to pass all the courses available in the program (for 120 ECTS), to achieve a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and to successfully complete the summer internship (30 working days). |

The aim of the First and Emergency Aid Program; To be employed in pre-hospital emergency health services; able to provide basic and advanced life support to people who are suddenly ill or injured at the scene and during transport to the hospital; able to perform life-saving and disability preventing medical interventions until the medical treatment of the sick / injured; Our mission is to train professional assistant health personnel who can identify all kinds of system trauma, apply appropriate emergency care, prevent possible complications while applying emergency care, and ensure that patients or injured patients who have undergone first interventions reach hospitals that are suitable for the patient's condition safely by ambulance. |

If our graduates are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) conducted by ÖSYM, in their own score types; Emergency Aid and Disaster Management, Nursing, Nursing and Health Services, and in different score types, they can make a vertical transition to Open Education Faculties' programs such as Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, Economics, Public Administration, Finance, International Relations, Business, Accommodation Management, Public Relations and Advertising. |

Facilities |
All classrooms where the lessons are conducted have a smart board, projector and internet connection. Courses that require a computer application are carried out in the Computer Laboratory, which includes 60 computers. Internet access via wired-wireless networks is unlimited in this laboratory. This laboratory, where students can get service using their own personal computers, is also open to students outside of class hours. |
