| Level of Course Unit | Short Cycle | Objectives of the Course | The main objective of the course is to introduce the history of health psychology, its basic concepts such as health/illness/well-being and the main study areas of this discipline, and to review the basic propositions of the theoretical perspectives that contribute to the development of the health psychology discipline. In the light of this information, within the framework of the biopsychosocial model, applications for preventive and well-being-enhancing intervention-education programs in the basic areas of health psychology such as protecting and maintaining health and increasing the quality of life will be discussed together with case examples in the context of different subjects and chronic diseases. | Name of Lecturer(s) | Öğr.
