General Description
History
Construction Machinery Operator Program started its associate degree regular formal education in the 2019-2020 academic year. The language of education is Turkish.
Qualification Awarded
Students who successfully complete all of the courses available in the program (for a total of 120 ECTS) and achieve a grade point average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00 are awarded an associate degree in Construction Machinery Operator.

Those who will/will graduate from secondary education must enter the YKS made by the OSYM Presidency and get enough points.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
Recognition of previous formal learning in Turkish Higher Education Institutions, vertical, horizontal and university transfers. TRANSFER BETWEEN ASSOCIATE AND UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS, DOUBLE MAJOR, SUB-BRANCH AND INTER-INSTITUTIONAL CREDIT NETWORK TRANSFER carried out under the " In Turkey, the recognition process of non-formal certificate-based or experience-based (in-formal and non-formal) learning is still in its infancy, except for formal education institutions. Therefore, the recognition of prior learning has not been fully initiated in all programs of Bayburt University. However, exemption exams are held at the beginning of each academic term for courses such as Computer and English and German included in the education plans of the programs. Students who think that they meet the expected qualifications from these courses have the right to take the exams. Students who pass the exam and pass the exam are exempted from the relevant courses in the curriculum.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Successfully completing all the courses available in the program (a total of 120 ECTS) and having a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 are the required qualification conditions for graduation.
Profile of The Programme
Construction Machinery Operator Program provides information in many fields such as maintenance-repair, usage, fault detection and traffic instructions about construction machinery used in many fields such as transportation, warehouse stacking, especially in the construction sector such as mines, roads, bridges, etc. and train operators with equipment.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Students who graduate from the program have a wide range of employment opportunities in public and private institutions. At the same time, students who buy their own machines and embrace entrepreneurship have the opportunity to start their own business. They can be employed in all public institutions where construction equipment is available, especially State Hydraulic Works, Highways, Municipalities. At the same time, job opportunities are offered in the private sector in companies operating in areas such as storage, stacking, loading and transportation, apart from the construction field.
Access to Further Studies
Candidates who have successfully completed their associate degree education can transfer to Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Agricultural Machinery undergraduate programs with the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Students are subjected to midterm and final exam for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam to the success grade is 40% and the contribution of the final exam is 60%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. It is obligatory to get at least 45 points from the final exam. Students who get one of the letter grades of AA, BA, BB, CB and CC from a course are considered successful in that course. In addition, students with a grade point average of at least 2.00 for a semester are considered successful in the courses they received with a DC letter grade.

Facilities
There are 2 classrooms, 1 Technical Drawing Hall, 1 Engine Workshop, 1 Construction Machine (Bako-loader) and 1 Computer Laboratory in our department.
