Objectives of the Course
To introduce the fundamental principles and concepts of physics in detail at freshmen level.

Learning Outcomes
1Applies scalar and vector concepts to problem solutions.
2Solves problems dealing with force and motion, makes experiments about one-dimentional, two-dimentional and freely falling motion, and interprets the results.
3Solves problems involving the concepts of energy, work and power., makes experiments about Newton's laws, forces of friction and friction coefficients on surfaces, and interprets the results.
4Solves problems involving time, displacement, velocity and acceleration of circular motion.
5Solves problems that deal with linear momentum, impuls and collisions, makes experiments on conservation of linear momentum, and interprets their results.
6Solves problems that deal with rotational motion.
7Solves problems that deal with rolling motion.
8Solves problems that deal with translational and rotational equilibrium.

Physics and Measurement; Vectors; Motion in One Dimension; Motion in Two Dimensions; Newton’s Laws of Motion; Circular Motion and Other Application of Newton’s Laws; Work and Kinetic Energy; Potential Energy and Conservation of Energy; Linear Momentum and Collisions; Rotation of a Rigid Object About Fixed Axis; Simple Harmonic Motion; Newton’s Law of Gravity; Static Equilibrium and Elasticity.
