BAYBURT UNIVERSITY

Bayburt University which is one of the youngest higher education institutions of our country was founded on May 31, 2008, by the Law no.5765. Its main task is not only to raise students who are capable to produce knowledge, and present it for benefitting of the society as  leading figures responsible for public but at the same time to promote the social, cultural and economical conditions of the regional population with qualified education, research and service programs.

 

Bayburt University aims at being one of the universities and/or institutes well known in the world in education, research and service, supplying unique choices for training and individual development of the students, being an academical structure responsible for promoting life quality  of the regional and national population and being an address of student-focused  research.

 

The number of academical stuff in the University is 401 in total: 11 professors, 13 associate professors, 137 assistant professors, 106 lecturer and 134 reserach assistant.  On the other hand, 217 administrative personel work for managing administrative procedures rapidly and efficiently.

The mission of Bayburt University is not only to prepare responsible leader students who can produce, share and present knowledge for social benefit, but also to develop local and countrywide socio economic conditions through qualified education, research and service programs.
