Specific Admission Requirements
In the evaluation of student admission to master's programs with thesis, 60% of the ALES score is summed by taking 40% of the undergraduate GPA.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
The provisions in “Regulation on Transfer among Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Double Major, and Subspecialty and the Principals of Credit Transfer among Institutions in Higher Education Institutions” are applied.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
At least 120 ECTS Credits, including at least eight courses, one seminar course, and thesis work.
Profile of The Programme
The aim of the program is to graduate expert psychological counselors who can effectively carry out guidance and psychological counseling services in various institutions and organizations. The program includes compulsory courses and elective courses.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Those who successfully complete the Guidance and Psychological Counseling master's program are qualified to work as expert psychological counselors in public and private schools, private psychological counseling centers, special education rehabilitation centers and institutions providing various mental health services.
Access to Further Studies
Students who graduate from this program can apply to PhD (third stage) programs.

Graduation Requirements
Having taken and successfully completed at least 8 courses and seminars, not less than 120 ECTS Credits, Students who are successful in the thesis defense exam are awarded a master's degree.

Facilities
Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling connected to the Educational Sciences Department consists of 2 Assistant professors and 2 research assistants. However, teaching practice and school experience lessons are carried out in schools at various levels under the guidance of the Ministry of Education. In the scope of applications of the community service course, students are provided participation in the social services in cooperation with different institutions belonging to the public. The cooperation between departments in Educational Sciences Department also contributes to the students developing themselves as teachers in this direction.

1-By learning what knowledge is, it relates it to its nature and produces knowledge using scientific methods and techniques
2-the students uses the theoretical and practical knowledge the students has learned in the field of Guidance and Psychological Counseling in individual or group practices to strengthen the psychological well-being of individuals in field studies, taking into account ethical values
3-Knows the basic approaches and theories of Guidance and Psychological Counseling services and can turn this knowledge into practice in studies on individuals
4- Knows and fulfills the responsibilities and requirements in the Guidance and Psychological Counseling Services sub-branches of expertise (marriage and family psychological counseling, career counseling, school psychological counseling, etc.).
5-Plans and implements career counseling approaches based on career development theories in accordance with psychological counseling principles and techniques.
6-It implements protective and preventive psychological counseling and guidance services by including the needs of disadvantaged groups in its basic work plans.
7- Participates in supportive learning activities by evaluating professional and individual development from a critical and innovative perspective.
8-Evaluates the impact of psychological counseling and guidance services included in the Ministry of Education education programs on the social, emotional, character and cognitive development of students of all types and levels.
9-Ministry of Education plans and implements guidance and psychological counseling services based on the basic principles of the preventive and developmental guidance approach applied within the scope of education and training activities.
10-Applies intervention services for social support systems to increase the psychological resilience levels of family members in coping with stress and struggling with life crises
11-Uses the instructional technologies used in education-training processes, taking into account digital and information literacy.
12- Within the scope of guidance and psychological counseling services, he/she fulfills his/her responsibilities as a mental health personnel for the needs of the society he/she lives in, without ignoring ethical principles and values.
13-Develops a sensitive perspective on clients' psychological resilience and self-actualization processes by taking into account basic psychological counseling principles and skills.
14- Gains the ability to plan, prepare/develop, implement and evaluate school psychological counseling and guidance program.
15-Becomes a model by adopting appropriate attitudes and behaviors for a professional who will represent the psychological counseling profession in the society he/she lives in.
