General Description
History
Banking and Insurance Program YÖK General Assembly Decision 2015-2016 academic year in the academic year of Bayburt Vocational School began training. Since 2017-2018 academic year, education has been continuing in Vocational School of Social Sciences.

Graduates are entitled to a diploma as associate degree in Banking and Insurance.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
Students who enroll in our program can request exemption from the courses they have successfully completed at the higher education institutions they have studied before. For this, they must submit their transcripts and course contents to the relevant unit within the first week of the registered year with a petition.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
In order to obtain the associate degree from Banking and Insurance Department, 120 ECTS required and elective courses must be successfully completed in the form specified in the departmental education program. In addition to this, it is essential that the overall academic grade average is at least 2.00.
Profile of The Programme
The curriculum of the Banking and Insurance Program, which covers four semesters, includes lessons on professional skills and qualifications. The students are taught the theoretical knowledge necessary for the profession, while at the same time professional practices are carried out and profession-related skills are gained. On the other hand, the Banking and Insurance Program students have a compulsory internship for a total of 30 days. During the internship period, Banking and Insurance Program students who have the opportunity to develop themselves through professional practices should be accepted by the School Administrative Board for their internships they have made in order to graduate.

Graduates of the Banking and Insurance Associate Degree Program can continue their careers in public and private banks, financial institutions, accounting companies, accounting services of different sectors, and information processing centers. Graduates who want to work as insurers can work in public and private institutions and organizations where insurance services are offered, or they can also establish their own businesses.
Access to Further Studies
Banking and Insurance graduates; If they are successful in DGS, they also have the opportunity to go to formal education or transfer to related Open Education undergraduate programs.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
40% of the midterm exam is assessed 60% of the final exam. In order for a student to be successful in a dersten, the average of the semester must be at least 50. The score given on the 100 points has been converted into a letter grade; midterm examinations, midterm examinations and final examinations are taken into consideration.

To graduate from the program; In addition to being successful in compulsory and elective courses for a total of 120 ECTS to be taken over 4 semesters, it is necessary to complete 30 days of compulsory internship.
