Bayburt Health Services Vocational School of Higher Education was founded in 31 May 2008 depending on Rectorship of Bayburt University pursuant to paragraph b of Attachment 97th article of official gazette numbered 26892. In 2011-2012 academic year, matriculation was started for programs of Medical Services and Techniques, Medical Documentation and Secretary of our Health Services Vocational School of Higher Education; 45 students for formal education and 45 for evening education are accepted to active program every year. In 2015-2016 academic year, matriculation was started for program of First and Immediate Aid in department of Medical Services and Techniques of our Vocational School of Higher Education; 40 students are accepted for formal education to active program every year. Matriculation was started in the same year in program of Elderly Care founded within the body of Health Care Services; 40 students are accepted for formal education to this program every year.

In Higher Education Institutions, cognition of Prior formal learning, vertical, undergraduate and intra-university transfers are realized in scope of “legislation regarding basis of transfer, double major, minor among programs in level of associate and undergraduate, and transfer credit among institutions in higher education institutions” defined by the Council of Higher Education.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations |
In order to graduate from program, the student should be successful in lessons and applications (interns) partaking in Elderly Care Undergraduate Program, and fulfill the total credit partaking in lesson distribution table. Lesson distribution and AKTS information are submitted at the end of file.

Profile of The Programme |
Population structure is changing in the World and Turkey, and elderly population is increasing day by day. Elementary family structure is taking the place of traditional family structure in our country and lifestyles are changing. This situation increases the demand on elderly care services and leads the need of professional and qualified people to work in elderly care field.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples |
Social Services and Child Protection Agency, Municipalities, Hospitals, Nongovernmental Organizations in which elderly care services are conducted and Elderly care services conducted in Organizations in Special Statute are forming the employment fields of graduates from relevant program. Services for elderly people can be sorted as follows; old age asylum, nursing home for old persons, dormitory for weak persons, daycare centers for old persons, application for old persons in health units, home care services, organizing house of old persons, protected residences.

Facilities |
Available closed area: 2438 m2 10 pcs classes; each one is 55 m2 (capacity of 50 students) there are sufficient physical areas in compliance with standards. 2 pcs laboratories; each one is 40 m2 it has the potential that 50 students work together at the same time. Canteen/dining hall There are 2 pcs dining halls and 2 pcs canteen to be able to serve 300 students at the same time in our school. Sport facilities There are football, volleyball, basketball fields in our university and also we can benefit from indoor sports hall and football field belong to Bayburt Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sport in days and time reserved for our university and school. Vehicle Transportation is ensured with dolmush of Bayburt Municipality towards city center and dormitory area belongs to Credit and Dormitories Agency; our campus is in walk distance to the city center.
