| Level of Course Unit | Second Cycle | Objectives of the Course | The aim of this course is; To provide information about national and international developments on climate change, one of the main global problems of the 21st century, organizations established to produce solutions to the problems caused by climate change, studies on creating a legal infrastructure and environmental law. Another aim of the course is; To provide students with the ability to analyze climate change problems and the measures to be taken, issues aimed at ensuring the sustainability of the ecological system, and to develop solution suggestion | Name of Lecturer(s) | Doç. Dr. Esmeray ALACADAĞLI | Learning Outcomes | 1 | Have knowledge about the conceptual theoretical framework of climate change, its historical process, its effects at local, regional and international levels and the resources on this subject. | 2 | Gain the ability to recognize the intertwined problems that lead to climate change such as climate factors, environmental degradation, global warming and cooling, and to establish and interpret the connection between the results, | 3 | Have information about the legislation regarding the prevention of climate change and the protection of climate factors, those responsible, the structures established for this purpose, intervention tools and the problems caused by differences in practice, | 4 | Understand the role and importance of regional and international organizations in preventing and solving problems arising from climate change and ensuring cooperation on this issue | 5 | Using the knowledge gained on climate change-related legislation, practices, legal and criminal sanctions; Gains the skills and competence to develop solutions to existing problems at national, regional and international levels, | 6 | With the knowledge gained in the field, he/she acquires the skills and competence to research, analyze, express himself/herself on these issues, communicate, conduct academically original studies, write and present. |

Regional and international studies on these issues, administrative and legal approaches to the problems, regional and international organizations and The applications will be discussed. Implementation examples, articles, contracts, organizations and studies and collaborations on climate change will be examined in this context, and the extent to which regional and global structures and international environmental law are effective in solving problems will be evaluated. | Weekly Detailed Course Contents | |
