Course Contents
By discussing the history of Ottoman institutions before Tanzimat, general characteristics of the Ottoman State and early Ottoman administrative institutions, Ottoman state organization, sultan and Imperial Council, Ottoman dynasty and palace, military, financial, land, legal system, education, foundation system. Topics such as are discussed.
