Objectives of the Course
Different forms of writing were used in correspondence in various periods of the Ottoman Empire. In this course, students will be taught documents of this type of writing, known as rica writing. Thus, to ensure that they are successful in the archive and library studies to be carried out in the future.

Course Contents
It is aimed to reinforce grammatical knowledge of students through reading and read documents to understand what they read. Documents of the last period of the Ottoman Empire constitute the content of the course. Plain texts are taught, especially in the late 19th and early 20th century. Initially, documents written in printed text and later in rica writing are taught. In addition to reading the document, the analysis of the text is done.
