| Course Contents |
| Within the scope of the course, the emergence of the phenomenon of modernization, social conditions of modernization, modernization theories, orientalism and the modernization process in Turkey will be discussed. Turkey's modernization experiences will be discussed in the context of early and late modernization theories. How these experiences shape political identities in Turkey will be discussed. |
