Objectives of the Course
Basic concepts of statistics, descriptive statistics and parameters, introduction to sampling theory and basic sampling methods, statistical interpretation will be done.

Learning Outcomes
1Students will be able to apply statistical knowledge and skills effectively in their own research by examining hypothesis tests and data analysis in social research.
2To be able to comprehend basic statistical methods and to choose the appropriate statistical analysis method when encountering a real problem and to give the ability to interpret the results by making these analyzes in computer environment (via SPSS program).

1Introduction to Computer Applied Basic Statistics and explanation of basic concepts
2Data collection and frequency tables
3 Measures of central tendency (arithmetic mean, mode, median, harmonic mean, geometric mean ..)
4 Variability and asymmetry dimensions change interval, standard deviation, variance, coefficient of variation, mean absolute deviation
5 Sampling distributions and estimation
6 Hypothesis testing and confidence limits of a mean (Z distribution)
7Characteristics of sample mean and variance, point estimation, confidence intervals
8Midterm Exam
9Basic concepts of quantitative decision methods, classification of statistical methods and selection of appropriate methods
10Parametric tests: independent sample t test, conjugate sample t test, single sample t test
11Nonparametric tests: Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal Wallis test, Chi-square homogeneity test, Chi-square independence test, Chi-square compliance test, Wilcoxon test
