| Objectives of the Course |
| To provide students with a perspective in interpreting the tension between classical and modern ideas by providing the basic structure and philosophy of classical Islamic Legal Theory (Usul-i fiqh) in the context of basic procedural problems such as evidence, wording and istinbat methods through different procedural understandings. |
