Objectives of the Course
To discuss the place of grammar in the new Turkish curriculum, to introduce the ways of intuition and to examine the secondary school grammar acquisitions.

1Basic concepts of grammar; Basic features of Turkish in terms of sound, shape, meaning and syntax; grammar teaching and the purpose of grammar teaching; Evaluation of grammar teaching models and approaches (Behavioral, Cognitive and Constructivist) in Turkish Language Curriculum; Grammar gains in the Turkish Language Curriculum (1-8th Grades); subjects in grammar teaching (phonics, morphology, semantics) and the order to be followed in teaching; methods and techniques, examples of activities; text-centered grammar teaching practices.
