The aim of the Talent Selection in Sports course is to understand the process of identifying talented individuals in the field of sports and to learn the methods used in this process. |

Course Contents |
Within the scope of the course, the aims, objectives and steps of the talent selection process are discussed in detail. Talent identification, discovery, measurement and evaluation processes are taught. Students are taught different talent selection methods such as observation techniques, performance evaluation, physical and motor skill tests, psychological tests and interviews.
In addition, the talent characteristics sought in different sports branches and the evaluation of these characteristics are discussed. It focuses on which skills are at the forefront in which sports branches and how these skills are measured.
Ethics and justice principles of the talent selection process also form an important part of the course. Emphasis is placed on equal opportunities, diversity and how to ensure a fair evaluation process. |
