Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to provide the students with the knowledge of radiation measurement systems in physics and all the support systems necessary for the establishment of those systems.

3To describe use of the detectors.
4To review limits of detection for each detector.
5To apply principles of counting statistics and error propagation to solve the problems related to accuracy, efficiency and limitations of the detection.

Radiation types, counting statistics, general properties of detectors, ion chambers, proportional counters, GM counters, scintillation detectors, semiconductor detectors, neutron detection systems, multi-channel analyzer.
