Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course is to enable students to acquire theoretical and practical skills about the management and organization of recreation and tourism businesses.

1To be able to understand the evolution of the business organisation and recreation thought, recognising the interconnections between developments in these areas
2To be able to critically evaluate alternative theories of management, recognising the centrality of decision making and strategic thinking to the managerial role and functions
3To be able to discuss and compare different models and approaches to understanding the firm, evaluating these in the context of the business environment, and exploring the impact of key environmental factors on decision making and organisational behaviour
4To be able to evaluate the significance of contemporary issues in business and management
5Analyzes business rules specific to recreation-related business.

Course Contents
In this course, the basic concepts of productivity, efficiency, profitability, rationality, liquidity and break-even point will be introduced, and the business environment will be discussed. The issues of ethics, forms of business ownership, functions of management and organization and teamwork will be mentioned.
