Objectives of the Course
The students who successfully pass this course are aimed to know the basic reference sources of Turkish language and to be able to interpret them from various perspectives.

1Interpret and analyse different variations in the historical course of Turkish language and literature both linguistically and historically.
2To have an idea about the discussions on the historical linguistic features of Turkish language in the field of literature.
3Performs a comparative reasoning about the source works.

3The description and presentation of the writing systems used by the Turks from the beginning.
4Examination on the Kokturk inscriptions. Language features, vocabulary and sociolinguistic interpretation of these inscriptions.
5Examination and analysis of inscriptions written in Köktürk alphabet.
6Giving information about Yenisey inscriptions and making analyses on them.
