Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to show and interpret the practical applications of the parametric univariate hypothesis tests and regression and correlation analysis as well as the technical details of the SPSS statistical program.

Learning Outcomes
1To be able to understand the basic concepts related to sampling, statistical estimation, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, regression and correlation analysis.
2To be able to select and apply the hypothesis tests which are most suitable for the purpose of the research among the parametric univariate hypothesis tests.
3To be able to investigate and interpret claims about single, two and more than one variable variables.
4To be able to apply and interpret univariate parametric hypothesis tests using SPSS statistics program.
5To be able to calculate and interpret simple correlation coefficients with SPSS.
6 To be able to develop simple and multiple regression models appropriate to SPSS and interpret the results.

Basic Concepts, Sampling and Sampling Methods, Sampling Distributions, Parametric Hypothesis Tests, Chi-Square Tests, Single Variable ANOVA Models, Regression and Correlation Analysis.

2Sampling Methods and SPSS Applications and SPSS Program General Introduction.
3Sampling Distributions: Sampling Distribution of Sample Average, Sampling Distribution of Sample Ratio, Sampling Distribution of Sample Variance and Central Limit Theorem / Sampling Distributions of MLT and Sample Statistics. Statistics Estimation, Basic Concepts and SPSS Applications.
4Hypothesis Tests: Basic Concepts, Classification of Hypothesis Tests, Criteria Used in Selection of Hypothesis Tests, Phases of Hypothesis Testing, Interpretation Errors in Hypothesis Testing (Errors in Hypothesis Testing), Significance Level, Confidence Level and Power of Test and Hypothesis Tests and p-Value.
5SPSS Applications and Interpretation of Parametric Single and Independent Two-Sample t or z Tests
6SPSS Applications and Interpretation of Parametric Dependent Two-Sample t or z Tests
7One-Way ANOVA and N-Way ANOVA Models, Multiple Comparison Tests, SPSS Applications and Interpretation

9Chi-Square Tests: Chi-Square Independence Test, Chi-Square Homogeneity Test, Chi-Square Conformity Test, and Non-Parametric Relationship Analysis Measures Based on Chi-Square Statistics Fi-Statistics (ø), Cramer-V Statistic and Contingency (c) Coefficients Obtaining and Interpreting with SPSS.
10Derivation of Spearman Correlation Coefficient (r) with Pearson Simple Linear Correlation Coefficient (r) by SPSS and Interpretation.
11Regression Analysis: Basic Concepts and Technical Details, Objectives and Assumptions of EKK Technique, Deviations and Solutions from These Assumptions.
